Academic Standards Committee
The Academic Standards Committee plays an important role in assuring quality as well as maintaining the academic standard of all programs offered by Stamford International University. The committee consists of the President, Vice President for Academic Affairs and deans of all faculties.
The Academic Standard Committee is responsible for:

Standardization and approval of all course syllabi for all subjects in all programs.

Approval of class schedules.

Establishing guidelines for teaching materials, class activities and class assessment. Normal distribution should be observed for grading.

Suggestion and facilitation for effective teaching methodologies.

Ensure the quality and relevance of examination questions.

Ensure the efficiency of the review process.

Review final examination grades.

Approve new and revised academic programs with course descriptions.

Approve credit transfers.

Recommend appointments of full time teachers and Department Heads.
External Examination Review Committee
The External Examination Review Committee is comprised of highly qualified senior professors from different prestigious universities. Three members for each program are appointed by the University.
Their responsibility is to review and make recommendations that enhance high academic standards as committed to by the University. The committee meets once per term 2 - 3 weeks prior to final exam week.
Course instructors submit final examination papers with answer keys as well as course syllabi and midterm exam papers to their Department Head for these meetings.
