Feb 7, Feb 13 / 14, Feb 20 / 21, 2010 - 5 days (30hrs)
The focus of this workshop is to use drama as a device for learning English. As opposed to conventional English class, it provides an opportunity to use the language in operation where ideas, emotions, feelings and appropriateness are all involved.
In addition, with careful listening, then spontaneous verbal as well as physical expressions, mind and body are integrated. The intellectual and physical aspects of learning are merged. Active learning helps develop independent learning skills and loosen up the atmosphere of the class.
Dr. Gary Carkin is an actor, theater director, and Professor of TESL at Southern New Hampshire University. For more information on Dr. Gary Carkin, see his Zoominfo Profile.
The workshop will be held during February 2010, beginning on 7th and ending on the 21st .
