Residential Policy and Useful Tips

The following are the guidelines to living at the University recommended residencies:

  1. Please keep your door locked at all times, even when you are just going next door or paying a visit to the lounge area.
  2. Strangers loitering in or around residence should be reported immediately to residence hall security or residence staff.
  3. Try not to leave items of value unattended in your room during weekends or holidays when you will be away from the residence.
  4. Never let strangers into your room or the building. This is a violation of residence hall rules, which have been enforced for your safety.
  5. Please be considerate of your roommate and your neighbors in the residence.  Each occupant has different habits, likes and dislikes.  As a general rule, show the same respect to others that you would like shown to you.
  6. Remember your main purpose of attending Stamford International University and living in the residence is to study and make progress.  Don't lose sight of your goals and you are sure to realize your main objectives: a pleasant living and learning experience and a University degree.

University life is an extremely valuable opportunity to learn how to get along with others and to live independently and responsibly.  Please follow the rules and make the best of a once-in-a-lifetime experience.  You'll be glad you did!
