Admissions

REQUIREMENTS

  1. A completed Stamford International University Application Form (see the section on Procedure)
    Idea (Light Bulb)In order to be able to fill-up the application form (digitally), save it and then send it back to us, you should use the free Foxit PDF Reader (~3.5MB download).

    The standard Adobe PDF Reader doesn't allow you to save filled-up form data - it lets you print only.
  2. A certified copy of:
    • High school diploma (or its equivalent) for Undergraduates
    • Graduation Certificate for Graduate students

    Please make sure that all documents in foreign language are send along with a certified English translation of the same.
  3. Three photographs (passport size)
  4. Copy of Passport
  5. A copy of any English Proficiency Test Score (TOEFL, IELTS, SAT) with required scores.

    For students who do not posses TOEFL, IELTS or SAT, the STIU English Placement Test will be provided upon arrival at the campus, for which a nominal test fee will be charged.

PROCEDURE

Thai Students

  1. Applicants must submit all required documents along with a completely filled out Application Form. The application form can be printed out and sent by postal mail or a copy of the same can be submitted through e-mail.

  2. The Office of Admissions will review all submitted documents and check for their authenticity.
  3. Once step 2 has been completed successfully, applicants will be issued a Letter of Conditional Acceptance and a Fee Detail document.
  4. Upon receipt of these documents applicants will be required to make the necessary payments either in person at the Rama IX (Bangkok) Campus or via bank wire transfer to the University's Bank account.
  5. After payment (only for those made via transfer) has been made, applicants are requested to fax a copy of the Bank transfer slip to the "Office of Admissions" with the student's name written above it. For Thai nationals, once payment has been made Acceptance into the University is considered complete.

 

International Students

    All Undergraduate students please make sure you inform the Office of Admissions your arrival details, so that your room can be prepared and be made available for you on time.
  6. International students will be issued a Letter of Certification, upon receipt of which they can contact the Royal Thai Embassy nearest to them and apply for a Non-Immigrant 'ED' class visa to come into Thailand. Initially, the visa holds valid for 2-3 months and further extensions (during the course of your studies) are done through the University.
  7. International students who would like for the University to arrange for their transportation from the airport to the campus are requested to e-mail the flight details to the Office of Admissions as soon as the flight has been confirmed.
    International Student are further requested to read the section titled Pre-Arrival Details.
