Stamford teams up with PACE University

Stamford International University continues its mission to provide genuinely international education with a new program that offers not only the incredible experience of studying in the dynamic cities of New York and Bangkok, but also allows students to graduate with two degrees.

The collaboration is the third dual degree to be provided at Stamford. Currently, students in Hotel Management can earn a degree from Stamford and the Blue Mountains International Hotel Management School, Torrens University, Australia. The Event Management concentration offers a similar double degree co-developed with Kendall College, based in Chicago, USA. Additionally, students in Creative Media Design can earn a certificate from the Media Design School, New Zealand.

Stamford students pursuing a BBA in Marketing can now expand their horizons and gain international experience and internships in New York, USA. The “2+1.5 program” means they begin their studies with two years in Bangkok, and then spend a year at Pace University in New York where they earn a second BBA with a concentration in either Global Marketing Management or Advertising and Integrated Marketing Communication.

Pace University is over a century old, with a student body of 13,000, and is accredited by the prestigious AACSB. Students have the option of two very different campus experiences. The New York City Campus is located in bustling downtown Manhattan, whereas the Westchester Campus offers a more suburban lifestyle. At both campuses students have the opportunity to work while studying and even opt for an internship once they complete their studies. There is also another option where students can work full time for a year under the Optional Practical Training (OPT) program after they graduate from Pace and Stamford.

Students at Stamford have a variety of industry relevant programs to choose from including the ability to select from minors in digital marketing management, retail management, or strategic marketing management. Many of these options have additional workshops and live projects with organizations that grant globally recognized skills and certificates with major industry players like Google.

Stamford blends learning and experience by having international experts provide the knowledge and theory of marketing and combining this with internships, work placements, and opportunities in two very different locations. This new program epitomizes Stamford’s goal in creating job-ready global students and is the latest addition to a growing list,” said Dr. Andrew Scown, President of Stamford International University.
