There were 88 projects competing and our Stamford IT students made us proud:<\/p>\n<p>5th place in the &#8220;woman safety\u201d &#8211; innovation challenge track<\/p>\n<p>42nd place in the \u201chealthcare\u201d &#8211; maker fair track<\/p>\n<p>56th place in the \u201csocial needs\u201d &#8211; maker fair track<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Stamford\u2019s own Dr\u00a0Surekha Lanka,\u00a0a lecturer in the IT program, received a \u201cvibrant pilot\u201d award for hosting the preliminary competition in Thailand.
