{"id":4650,"date":"2023-02-20T05:49:47","date_gmt":"2023-02-19T22:49:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/stamford.edu\/the-2nd-international-media-forum-brand-communication-in-the-digital-era\/"},"modified":"2025-07-01T15:35:24","modified_gmt":"2025-07-01T08:35:24","slug":"the-2nd-international-media-forum-brand-communication-in-the-digital-era","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.stamford.edu\/th\/academic-events\/the-2nd-international-media-forum-brand-communication-in-the-digital-era\/","title":{"rendered":"The 2nd International Media Forum: \u201cBrand Communication in the Digital Era\u201d\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On Friday, January 27, 2023, the Communication Arts Program organized the live steaming event on Facebook\u2014\u201cThe 2<sup>nd<\/sup> International Media Forum\u201d under the topic: \u201cBrand Communication in the Digital Era\u201d with three panelists comprising of Ms. Amrita Singh, Director of DMI Event, Nepal, Ms. Petchlada Pilouk, Senior Account Executive of ShareInvestor, Thailand, and Mr. Alex Beuchel from Germany, Director of Jump Communications which is located in Thailand. Event moderators are two lecturers from the Communication Arts Program, Dr. Peerawat Tan-intaraarj, and A. Marian Ehret. The number of participants, included Stamford lecturers, Stamford current students, and people who were interested in the topic, joining this online event is 55.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-id=\"53891\" src=\"http:\/\/stamford.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/aa02-1024x576.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-53891\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-id=\"53889\" src=\"http:\/\/stamford.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/aa03-1024x576.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-53889\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>During the event, all three panelists highlighted key messages involving ways or methods of brand communication, including both internal and external factors which have influences on how to communicate to potential audiences effectively. <strong>Ms. Amrita Singh<\/strong> explained that familiarity is a significant key factor in brand communication. An interaction between a brand and a consumer need to be immediate. She also shared that new apps will come up in the future, and it will change the way people interact to each other, as well as the brand communication sphere. <strong>Ms. Petchlada Pilouk<\/strong> mentioned about the importance of a corporate website, which is one of brand communication tools. Moreover, she said that COVID-19 situation accelerates the transformation of the trend of media use. Many brands use digital platforms as main communication channels to communicate with their customers. The last panelist, <strong>Mr. Alex Beuchel<\/strong> highlights many key issues regarding brand communication. His idea regarding the feel of brand is that it should not abruptly change. For international marketing, localization is a key to success if a brand aims to expand its market to local areas.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For the evaluation of the event, most of them evaluated that they \u2018agree\u2019 the event provided different perspectives regarding brand communication from panelists who are professionals in the field. Participants learned about brand communication skills from panelists though information, as well as from their shared experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-2 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-id=\"53893\" src=\"http:\/\/stamford.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/aa04.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-53893\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-id=\"53895\" src=\"http:\/\/stamford.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/aa05-1024x576.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-53895\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>We would like to send our message of \u201cThank you very much\u201d to all the panelists for joining and willingly sharing their experiences with our Stamford members and people who are interested in the topic.<\/strong> Also, \u201cCongratulations\u201d to the Communication Arts Program for the very successful organization for this International Level online forum.
