January is Human Trafficking Awareness month, which is dedicated to raising awareness of sexual slavery and human trafficking worldwide. Today 21-30 million people are enslaved in the world more than any time in human history, it could be in the form of children, men, and migrant exploitation in the workforce, or more commonly women forced into prostitution. Event Management program led by Ajarn Natasha Doowa, which is under the Bachelor of Business Administration Faculty at Stamford International University Rama 9 Campus: Event Development (EVT412) course with the following students: Lulu Banat, Nattapong Phalathikom, and Siriwan Tipsuwanporn, decided to take action towards this cause and organize Stamford Freedom Run 2020 as their final project; a 4 Km Mini-Marathon, an act of solidarity and support to raising awareness & ending Human Trafficking. The purpose of the marathon is to bring people together in a peaceful run against Human Trafficking, the event took place on the 18th of January 2020, at Nong Bon Lake & Water Sports Center. Revenue generated from the event was donated to A21 Foundation to help end Human Trafficking in Thailand. The organizing team thank everyone who took part in Stamford Freedom Run 2020.
