Position: Full-time Lecturer in Communication Arts Program (Undergraduate Level)

Responsibilities
- The Employee agrees to teach four (4) three-credit undergraduate courses per academic term or equivalent and other assigned responsibilities by the University.
- Complete a research project and write 2 academic or research articles to be published within a year of the start of the first semester of the contract.
- Post 5 hours a week during which students can consult with. These hours should be filed with the Department Chairperson and Faculty Secretary and written in the Course Syllabus.
- Guide and help students solve any problems they may face with both academic learning and personal and assist the Program director with student counselling to ensure that the student continuation rate is consistent with the university requirements.
- Agree to fully involve and actively participate in student activities, university projects as well as to perform special functions or to join special programs.
- Identify teaching directions to complete all teaching tasks thoroughly, understand the content of the courses assigned, be well-prepared for class, and follow strictly teaching plans, syllabus/TQF3/TQF5 and the teaching schedule pre-approved by the Office of Academic Affairs.
- Agree to be fully cooperative and abide by the Private Higher Education Institute Act, Rules, Regulations, and Orders issued by Office of Higher Education Commission, as well as those stipulated in the STIU Faculty Handbook.
- Other tasks assigned by the university, Office of Academic Affairs, and Program Head.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Ph.D. and/or master’s degree in communication or a related field from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 2–3 years of teaching experience in Photography, Broadcasting, Production, or a related field
- Having academic/research publications published within the recent 5 years will be an advantage
- Ability to work effectively and constructively with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds
- Experience in international teaching environment or multicultural collaboration is preferred.
